Posted 23 May 2014 6:30pm

As part of Australian Aid's Government Partnerships for Development, ANUE is helping University of Yangon regain its status as a Myanmar centre of excellence.

Under GPFD, ANUE is bringing together academics at the Australian National University and University of Yangon with a 3-year program designed to strengthen Yangon's applied research and policy advice capabilities.

The program is now firmly up and running with the latest visit to Yangon identifying short courses the academics are most interested in, and laying the groundwork for a population research centre to be established at University of Yangon.
